| Title |
Review of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) tertiary training |
| Description |
Over the past ten years or so there have been regular reviews of the AOD tertiary training sector. Some of these reviews, in the late 1980s and the early 1990s, sought to identify gaps and deficiencies in training provision, that is, they were essentially undertaken as scoping exercises.
This current project is to some extent an extension of previous scoping exercises, but also spans beyond to involve the following:
1. identification of all current tertiary providers;
2. collation of information on their programs and training activities;
3. coordination of a two day meeting of tertiary providers to discuss current activities, share information, resources, ideas, canvass difficulties, identify mechanisms for support and ways that NCETA can facilitate same
4. reporting on #3; and
5. identification of strategies to support and enhance tertiary training in the AOD field. |
